Sam Aaron, creator of Sonic Pi, joins the Just a Couple of Jerks podcast this week.
Sam takes us through the humble beginnings of creating the application for the Raspberry Pi and how he was thrown in at the deep end by being given three months to produce something that could work as an application.
He tells us about how, when the funding for the application stopped, he had to shift focus and work at ways to keep the application development going and find ways to support himself and his family. We also delve into Sam’s early days tinkering away on a ZX Spectrum and how he programmed games on his programmable calculator.
It was a real priviledge to finally get to speak to Sam. I hope you enjoy this week’s insightful episode and while you are at it, take a look at Sonic-Pi.net.
